Christopher Cornick

Board Member, Grant and Fundraising Oversight

Chris Cornick is a seasoned safety and risk management professional with over two decades of leadership experience spanning the military, private sector, and nonprofit initiatives. A retired U.S. Navy veteran, Chris brings a mission-driven mindset and a deep commitment to service, community empowerment, and operational excellence.

 

As a board member of The McLeary Foundation, Chris lends his expertise in strategic planning, regulatory compliance, and organizational development to help advance the foundation’s mission of driving sustainable impact through education, health, and community support initiatives. His professional background includes leadership roles in aerospace defense, biopharmaceuticals, and national transportation networks, with a strong focus on creating safer, more resilient systems for both people and
infrastructure.

 

Outside of his professional life, Chris is a dedicated husband to his wife Jennifer and a proud father to two sons, Cameron and Zaden. He actively invests in the development of young athletes as a baseball coach with Severn Athletic Club and as a football coach at Arundel Christian School—roles that reflect his passion for mentorship, discipline, and building character through sports.

 

Chris holds a Master of Public Administration from Grand Canyon University, a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Safety and Health from Columbia Southern University, and maintains a Graduate Safety Practitioner (GSP) certification.

 

Passionate about legacy building and community uplift, Chris is honored to contribute to The McLeary Foundation’s continued growth and meaningful work in underserved communities.
